Another 15 days went by and now it's time to bring you a new contemporary Brazilian short story. Today we have the pleasure to feature the work of Clarice D'Ippolito, a law student who has been writing as a hobby from a very early age. We've selected "Assistant Intern" because of the funny tone the author gives to a few cruel realities: the chaotic legal system and the poor state students are in when they get to a higher education institute. "How come there is an individual in the world who wants to be a lawyer and doesn't even know how to write and spell correctly?" she asks when observing a classmate during an internship program. We hope you enjoy Clarice's work and feel free to comment on it. |
