Here we are once again to publish yet another excellent short story written by a contemporary Brazilian author. This time, we have the pleasure of featuring the work of Glaucia Fortes, a teacher of Portuguese Language and Brazilian Literature.

We've selected "The Secret of the Yolk"―after receiving a recommendation from Ronaldo Brito Roque, another author who participated in the project―because it depicts the story of a woman who must make a decision when her past, present, and future intersect at a crucial time in her life.
