Another 15 days went by in the blink of an eye and now it's time to bring you a new contemporary Brazilian short story once again. Today we have the pleasure of featuring the work of Melissa Pontes, a computer instructor and lecturer who writes short stories about the facts of life.

We've selected "Each Bag of Salt" because it introduces an interesting Brazilian superstition meant to assure a long-lasting love story. They say hope never dies...

We hope you enjoy Melissa's work and feel free to comment on it.
